竞赛简介

2022下半年，AI 生成艺术或许已经成为了科技领域最性感的技术风口；经过近半年的发展更是达到了全新的发展阶段，伴随着2023年初爆火的ChatGPT，几乎震撼了整个人工智能领域乃至整个社会，它所具备的强大的语言生成能力被广泛认为是一个巨大的突破。基于Transformer模型的低层技术，ChatGPT在自然语言领域获得高超的本领。

此前，扩散生成模型（Diffusion Model）凭借更出色的生成结果取代了对抗生成网络（GAN），成为图像生成领域更偏爱的算法。由此衍生出了Clip + Guided Diffusion、Dall E2、Stable Diffusion等新的算法，以及基于这些算法搭建的AI画作生成平台Disco Diffusion、Dall·E2、Midjourney、DreamStudio、Wombo Dream和Stable Diffusion等。

由此而派生出了一众想要“驯服AI，保住饭碗”的设计师们开始进行“自我救赎”；基于AI绘画平台，再结合ChatGPT可以生出的高质量prompts，进一步将AI生成技术推向“全民皆可设计”的高潮。

于建筑领域而言，再经过几年的技术迭代人工智能会不会颠覆整个设计行业？AI生成的房屋能否合乎设计师心意？AI训练生成的图像能否满足大众审美？AI能不能一键生成平面方案... ...

人工智能，究竟会引领建筑去向何方？基于这样的发问，Non Architecture 于2022年末举办了一场主题为“AI恐怖屋”的建筑竞赛，目的是同建筑领域的设计师与学者们进行一场“A.I.很好，但设计不死”的讨论。

看看谁能创造出最可怕的AI生成的房子。唯一的要求是是由人工智能引擎生成的--不允许有人为的修改!

SUMMARY

In the second half of 2022, AI-generated art has become perhaps the sexiest technology in technology; After nearly half a year's development, it has reached a new stage of development.ChatGPT, which exploded in early 2023, almost shook the entire field of artificial intelligence and even the whole society, and its powerful language generation ability was widely regarded as a huge breakthrough. Based on the Transformer model's low-level technology, ChatGPT has gained great expertise in natural language.

Previously, the Diffusion Model replaced the adversarial generation network (GAN) with better generation results and became the preferred algorithm in the field of image generation. Therefore, new algorithms such as Clip + Guided Diffusion, Dall E2 and Stable Diffusion are derived. And the AI painting generation platform Disco Diffusion, Dall·E2, Midjourney, DreamStudio, Wombo Dream and Stable Diffusion built based on these algorithms.
This has spawned a number of designers who want to "tame AI and keep their jobs" to "redeem themselves".Based on the AI painting platform, combined with the high quality prompts generated by ChatGPT, further push the AI generation technology to the climax of "the whole people can design".

In the field of architecture, will artificial intelligence disrupt the entire design industry in a few more years of technological iterations?

Will AI-generated houses be acceptable to designers? Can the images generated by AI training satisfy the public aesthetic? Can AI generate plane schemes with one click... ...

Where will artificial intelligence lead architecture? Based on these questions, Non Architecture held an architecture competition titled "AI Terror House" at the end of 2022, aiming to discuss "AI is good, but design is not dead" with designers and scholars in the field of architecture.
In order to see who can create the most hideous AI-generated house.The only requirement is that the house must be generated by an AI engine - no humans allowed!
